Temple Grandin

A few months back I had the unexpected pleasure of going to a private talk by Temple Grandin, the world-renowned author, visionary designer, and advocate for people with autism. The resulting article is available on Pitt Med magazine’s website (opens as a .pdf). Grandin is one of those rare human beings who quite literally makes one see the entire world slightly differently. If she weren’t so oddly disarming a personality, it’d be rather intimidating just to be in the same room as her.

(I also did this short piece on Dr. Mark Rebeiz’s groundbreaking work on how genes change in the evolutionary process. And since I use this site to keep tabs on my own clips, I’m-a put it in here too.)
