About

I am (Justin P. Hopper, that is) an American-born British writer living in the East of England. I make books, records and performances, as well as a podcast and other projects, based around the written or spoken word. A lot of it is related to interests in landscape, psychogeography and hauntology, as well as an interest in the literary and artistic occult in early-20th century London.

(Contact and social media info is to the right.)

In late 2025 I have a number of long-term projects coming to fruition. That includes a novella about art and magick in London, 1912 (Dead the Long Year from Far West Press); a mini-album of M.R. James and Algernon Blackwood stories re-set as Appalachian folk tales (from Clay Pipe Music); the relaunch of occultist Victor B. Neuburg’s 1920s publishing house, the Vine Press; and the metafiction/documentary film ‘We Are Making a Film About Mark Fisher’.
